Jonathan Majors was arrested for assault charges in New York

Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation in New York, assault and harassment police said.

New York City police said that Majors who starred in”Creed III,” which was released recently “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” was involved in a domestic conflict with a woman who was 30 years old. Police were dispatched about 11:00 a.m. to an emergency call from an apartment located in Chelsea, a Manhattan area of Chelsea.

“The victim told police that she was assaulted” an official from the NYPD released an announcement. “Officers arrested the 33-year-old male into custody with no incident. The victim suffered minor head injuries and neck, and was taken to a nearby hospital where she was in stable condition.”

He was not anymore being held in custody by the NYPD on Saturday night the NYPD spokesperson confirmed this to The Associated Press.

A representative of Majors has denied any wrongdoing of the performer.

“He is not guilty of any wrongdoing,” the representative said in an email sent to the AP this Saturday. “We hope to clear his name and resolving this issue.”

Majors is among the most promising growing stars to emerge in Hollywood. After breaking out in the film of the year “The last Black man at San Francisco,” Majors has been featured in “Da 5 Bloods,”” “The The More they Fall” and the year before’s “Devotion.” Majors also appears in the recently released Sundance Film Festival entry “Magazine Dreams” the film that Searchlight Pictures is to release in December.
