Nintendo Switch Online subscribers on Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite and OLED now have some additional freebies to download – unlike some of the subscription service’s offers that require the Expansion Pack. But in order to take advantage of them, you must be a Switch Online subscriber; otherwise you’ll miss out on Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe icons perfect for nostalgic Wii fans or Kirby collectors alike!
Today, Nintendo released a remake of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land via the Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED. As you may recall, the original Wii game released back in 2011 to seemingly weak sales and received an unfavorable review on Metacritic; so it remains unclear why it received such early attention compared to so many other titles; nonetheless it did receive the remake treatment. Furthermore, some new free icons can be redeemed with Platinum Points over the course of next week!
As expected, the icons are not limited to Kirby alone but feature other characters from the game as well – King Dedede even has his own icon! Below you can check out all of the icons available; if none appeal to you, don’t worry; this is only the first wave! The next one won’t release until Thursday, March 2nd; once gone, there will no longer be a way for download any of them.
Once redeemed, any and all icons downloaded through Nintendo Switch Online are yours to keep, even if your subscription expires. This differs from “free games,” which remain inaccessible in your library even after your subscription ends.
